the finer points:
-i finally got a snazzy new email [gmail]
-it came with a snazzy blog option, which i have not had in a very long time.
-i miss having a blog (xanga).
-Cassie, my nice actress friend has one, and its quite marvalous.
-because of the writers strike, i'm out fo a job for today.
-i now have a clean room, gas in my car and a lot of time STILL left over.
I'm not sure who will read this. I don't suppose I will broadcast it (This, my own daily newspaper) to myspace "friends". Just the people I care about talking to. Don't you feel special? Well, you ought to, I'm very exclusive ;)
You know, I will make this my optimistic blog. I must admit my last blog (*cough*..xanga) or two (*cough*cough* ..livejournal) had a very "emo" (yes, that is short for "emotional", family) feel to it. I need to focus on the positive and be grateful for my life. Everything I have. I have a family that....well......puts up with me (I would say believes in me but lets not lie) and a wonderful, reliable, sweet boyfriend. Who just so happens to be in the same unfortunate career choice as me. He understands almost everything I go through, career wise, and is my encourager and well, ill stop now, before you all puke. Ryan is wonderful and I do not know what I'd do without him.
I have been sumbitting submitting submitting like crazy this weekend. I'm very stressed about my financial (or lack there of) situation. But, I have been praying so hard, and working hard to make checks come in the mail however I can. I'm not above working crap jobs, I just can't have them last long, or interfere with auditions (which I am getting more of, even if I'm not landing them....) or extra work. I know it sounds stupid but extra work is important to me. I've learned so much already. I work long, long, NON union (uggggghhhh) hours but I get to be on set. I get to talk to the BEST people about my career and life choices. I know there are creeps and weirdos on set, but plainly put, I just don't talk to them. I have had the fortune of meeting a few great girls (SO RARE to find in LA!) on set who have actually helped me and given me great advice (Cassie from Cavemen, Hollis from Cane, Asia from Moonlight and Gretchen from E.R.). Asia taught me how to act on set, stay happy and impress the hell out of people when you feel like crap. Hollis gives me hope for having a relationship, much less a marriage in hollywood. She and her opera singer husband are so cute and hardworking. Gretchen is headstrong. She is older than me and still going after her dreams, even if it means riding a bike all over LA. Cassie. where do I begin? Cassie is one of the few friends I feel I click with. If we were in the same high school together, we'd be buddies, for sure. She is so happy and has been a great influence and role model for an aspiring actress. I love that she is completely drama-free and nice, not catty. which is hard to find in this buisness. and Brady, her boyfriend is awesome too. We had the cutest little double date at roscoe's chicken and waffles. hehe brady can be the life of the party, which is fun, because i thought he was shy i when i first met him:)
I get to go out to the ATL for thanksgiving! yay! ill be gone thurs-tues that weekend.
Ryan and I have been dating for 10 months now :)
He's really stressed from work, so I think I'ma go scoop up Micheala and we'll bake cookies and bring it to him.... plus, i just want cookies :} (<---thats my mischiet smile, btw)
Thats all for now. when i get to a computer that will actually let me upload pictures, ill put some up.
~good day.
