Greetings good readers of my blog.
Bad news and good news.
Good news is I have a Dr. Appt! (I have been sick with a "cold" for close to 3 weeks now)
I got into the ACE Program for Adults, which isn't quite health care (can't afford that just yet) but it is a beat little program through Ventura county that provides anyone older than 19 (that is independent and not well off) with the ability to see a Dr without having to pay a premium for health insurance, just a co-pay. So my co-pay for office visits are $15. not bad! I can even (supposedly, we will see) get generic perscriptions for next to nothing.
Bad News is the earliest appt. I could get was March 12th. almost 2 weeks from now. egghhhh. Well, I HOPE I won't still be sick 2 weeks from now, but it's worth having it checked out and meeting my first Dr. in 4 years anyway. I've been extremely blessed to have been able to survive without health insurance so long, especially with preivious serious blood and heart conditions that have left me hospitalized... I guess God was right when He said He wouldn't give you anything you couldn't handle...

CAR:
Well as some of you know, my car died on me last week. I finally got a new battery and alternator, which pretty much used up all my "rainy day" money I had saved up, and then some... so now I'm back to ground zero. Well, maybe even negative a few degrees.
I was looking in the paper this morning (and when I say morning, I mean noon) and found car ads. There are some really good monthly payments deals on civics and yaris'. I really like the yaris so I cut out an ad of it and put it on my mirror to remind me that I need to work etra hard these next few months to be able to make a good down payment on new car this summer. I think I can afford 146 a month! Now if I can just get BETTER so I can get more hours at work...

Nothing much else is new. Ryan and I are both still sick and completely and misreably M.I.A from anything remotely social.
